
Transport Observatories (TOs) are data-driven monitoring tools that track key performance indicators (KPIs) along major trade and transport corridors. The primary function of a TO is to provide a comprehensive, evidence-based view of corridor performance by measuring critical variables. Despite their potential to improve trade efficiency and infrastructure management, the development and deployment of TOs in Africa remain limited.
