Protocol of amendment of the Trade Facilitation Agreement: the EU ratification

Following the approval, on December 2013, by the World Trade Organization, of the Trade Facilitation Agreement, about one year later, the WTO members decided to negotiate a Protocol amending such Agreement to recast its text directly in the WTO Agreement (as the Annex 1A of the WTO Agreement). The EU Council adopted on 1 October 2015 the Decision (EU) 2015/1947, approving the Protocol of Amendment and with it, the final text of Trade Facilitation Agreement. Furthermore, the OECD has developed 11 Trade Facilitation Indicators to monitor the status of implementation of the TFA by the Countries who adopted the Agreement.
