National Plan for Logistics, four sectoral studies issued

Within the process of implementation of the priority action lines set out in the new National Plan for Logistics (approved on December 2010 by the General Committee for road transport and logistics), the Italian Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure informs that four structural analysis studies on the most important aspects of the Plan have been recently published, with the strengths and weaknesses are put in perspective.

The dlegislative decree n. 100/2011, establishing implementing provisions to the legislative decree n. 23/2009, has been published in the Official Journal of the Italian Republic n. 156 of 7 luglio 2011. The legislative decree n. 23/2009 implements in Italy the Directive 2006/117/Euratom on the surveilance and control od the radioactive waste and spent fuel.

Sharing knowledge for reinforcing the customs-busness partnership

Last 27 and 28 June, in Brussels, at the World Customs Organisation's headquarters, the "Open day for trade" was celebrated. Such initiative has been entirely dedicated to the role and the importance of the cooperative relationships between the public sector (and Customs administrations in particular) and private operators in the efficient management of borders, the contrast to the terroristics/criminal threats and the development of measures of trade facilitation based on the dialogue and the exchange of data and information between the different entities involved in the operations of international trade (e.g. single window).
