African business women connected through an on-line platform

COMESA, EAC and ECOWAS, in partnership with the African Development Bank, have launched an on-line platform aiming to connect 50 million business women across the African continent.

The web site hosts a networking area with chat and forum areas where registered users can exchange views on business issues and opportunities in Africa, so to improve the ability of women entrepreneurs to network and share information on markets access, cross border trade information, and financial services in 38 African countries.

Womenconnect also offers some success stories of women entrepreneurs in Africa.
