World Bank study lauds SADC for its results in terms of trade creation

Somalia launches Trade Information Portal

Somalia has joined the list of African countries that have adopted a trade information portal to guide their businesses in cross-border trade, in an attempt to lower costs and simplify trade procedures for Somali importers and exporters. Trade Information Portals are information technology tools whose aim is to increase transparency in trade transactions by offering traders a one-stop-shop with comprehensive information on procedures for import, export and transit.

Tanzania Single Window soon operational

At the end of a five-day meeting in Nairobi ended on 24 August 2021, the Joint Commission on Cooperation (JCC), a bilateral organ comprising officials from Kenya and Tanzania established to resolve issues affecting areas of cooperation, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed to strengthen bilateral relations between the respective countries.
